Admissions Staff will be present to receive the children at the agreed times or thereafter and parents are required to keep to these times. Children who are dropped earlier and/or collected later than the agreed time of session, will be charged accordingly. You must keep us informed of the identity of the persons who will be collecting your child. If the person who is due to collect your child is not usually responsible for collecting them we will require proof of identity. If we are not reasonably satisfied that the person collecting your child is who we were expecting, we will not release your child into their care until we have checked with you
Nursery opening times
Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 6:00pm
Data Protection Any personal information you supply to us will be collected, stored and used in accordance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulations when collecting and processing information about you and your child. We explain how your data is processed, collected, kept up-to-date in our Privacy Notice which is given to you at the point of registration, and our Confidentiality and Client Access to Records Policy. We will share relevant data with the local authority. We will always seek your consent where we need to share information about your child with any other professional or agency. We are required by law to override your refusal to give consent only in specific circumstances where the child or someone in the family may be in danger if we do not share that information.
Child Protection The Nursery complies with the procedures approved by the Local Safeguarding Children Board. The Nursery is legally bound by law to protect children (under the age of 18) from abuse. If the Nursery suspect or' a child informs the staff / management that s/he is suffering from abuse or any kind of bullying the Nursery will promptly and appropriately respond to the concern, by reporting to the appropriate authorities.
You must inform us if your child is the subject of a court order and provide us with a copy of such order on request
Accident Procedure The nursery reserves the right to administer basic first aid treatment when necessary. Parents will be informed of all accidents and will be required to sign a children’s accident form. For accidents of a more serious nature involving hospital treatment all attempts will be made to contact parents, but failing this, the nursery reserves the right to act on behalf of parents and authorise any necessary treatment. Parents are required to inform the nursery of any changes to child information and contact details in writing. The Registration Form includes medicine consent and emergency treatment authorisations which you will need to complete prior to your child attending.
Trips & Outgoings If parents wish for their children to be excluded in local outings and trips, you will need to put this in writing and state clearly your reasons. For organised outgoings involving transport and entrance fees, an appropriate charge will be made, and a consent form needs to be signed.
Holidays (Term Time) The nursery will remain open during normal school term times. The nursery reserves the right to make changes where required to do so in respect of the two Eid festivals.
Full Day Care The nursery will remain open during normal school term only; The nursery reserves the right to make changes where required to do so and will notify you as soon as possible of any days that we will be closed, and
in respect of the two Eid festivals. Parents will be notified of the exact dates for each year. Please Note: fees are still payable.
Absenteeism it is important that holidays are taken in the term breaks and that the nursery is notified as far in advance as possible of any dates on which your child will not be attending for whatever reason. This can be done by calling in person at the nursery or by telephoning the nursery (a written note will also be required). Please also Note: fees are still payable, and any loss of FEEE funding will be charged if extended holiday/absence exceeds more than 10 days. Holidays/absences exceeding 10 days may affect your entitlement to the grant and in the
unlikely event, termination of your child’s place will result and action will be taken to recover loss of income or funding for the term. 10 days period of absence includes self-isolation time in the event you have been away from the country during any kind of pandemic period.
Clothes & Personal Property All clothing etc must be clearly marked and labelled with the child’s name. You are required to provide the following inside shoes, nappies, cream (if required) and spare pair of clothes. Children will
be taken outside so it is important that they are provided with suitable clothing. Any child not wearing suitable clothing will be excluded from outdoor activities.
Meals (Day Care only A.M, P.M) Included in the sessions are all snacks. Breakfast, lunches and teas can be provided at a small cost, depending on sessions required. Our menus rotate every 4 weeks and are available for parents to see on the notice board. All meals provided are strictly halal. (HMC Approved)
Free FEEE Only 8:30-11:30 or 12:30-3:30 sessions: These can only be taken over 3 or 5 days. Included in the sessions are milk and fruit; if you wish to take more than the specified session time in a day, your child will remain in the setting over the lunch time period at an additional charge; a healthy packed lunch will need to be provided. If you wish your child to part take of the nursery meals, a charge will be applied.
Breakfast £1.00, Lunch £3.50, Tea £2.00.
Jewellery Children are not allowed to wear any jewellery except for studded earrings and any religious items providing they are not injurious to the child in any way
Sickness Any child suffering from a doubtful rash, sore throat, discharge from the eyes or nose, or diarrhoea should be kept at home until the symptoms have disappeared. You must immediately inform us if your child is suffering from any contagious disease, or if your child has been diagnosed by a medical practitioner with a notifiable disease. For the benefit of other children attending, you must not allow your child to attend whilst they are contagious and pose a risk to other children during normal daily activities. The nursery reserves the right to refuse entry to a child who is suffering from an infectious illness. Or has been in contact with anybody suffering from a contagious illness, or has been asked to stay in isolation due to COVID. Please Note: fees are still payable.
Medication If your child is taking any prescribed medicine, please inform the key person in charge and bring the medicine into the nursery clearly labelled with your child’s name. A member of our nursery senior staff can only administer the medicine if a consent form is signed and dated by a parent or guardian and full details of dosage and times must also be stated. Please refer to our administration of medication policy.
Compliments, Concerns and Complaints We are always pleased to hear your views, you may put your suggestions in our suggestions area in the foyer; or if you should have any concerns, your first step is to discuss the matter with your child’s key worker. Any further correspondence should be made to the manager. All appeals need to be made in writing to the Manager/ Provider at the setting. It is our aim to have all concerns resolved within 28 days. If however, at any point you are not satisfied with our services, you may contact Ofsted on 0300 123 4666.
Equipment: The Nursery will provide an extensive range of toys for children of all ages. In the event of loss or purposeful damage to any toys or equipment, a replacement fee will be charged.
Note: Children must not bring any personal property (including toys) to the nursery; Comfort toys may be an exception. No liability will be accepted for any damage or loss of any items.
Child’s personal details The Nursery will not take responsibility in the event of failure to inform us of any changes to your child’s details. You must notify us immediately of any changes to the information you have provided to us and keep us informed of any other necessary information that may affect the childcare that we provide for your child. These will include changes to any contact details
Suspension
- We may suspend the provision of childcare to your child at any time if you have failed to pay any fees due.
- If the period of suspension for non-payment of fees exceeds one month, either of us may terminate this Agreement by giving written notice, which will take effect on receipt of the notice. (All necessary action will be taken to recover the fees, and any additional cost of recovery will be added to your invoice).
- We do not support the exclusion of any child on the grounds of behaviour. However, if your child’s behaviour is deemed by us to endanger the safety and well-being of your child and/or other children and adults, it may be necessary to suspend the provision of childcare whilst we try to address these issues with you and external agencies as appropriate.
- During any period of suspension for behaviour-related issues we will work with the local authority and where appropriate other welfare agencies to identify appropriate provision or services for your child.
- If your child is suspended part way through the month, under the conditions stated in clause 3 we shall give you a credit for any fees you have already paid for the remaining part of that month, this sum may be offset against any sums payable by you to us.
Each child’s happiness is our main concern. If therefore after a reasonable time your child is not satisfied, we may ask you to withdraw or re-enrol at a later date.

General If we have to close or we take the decision to close due to events or circumstances beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather conditions) the Fee will continue to be payable in full and we shall be under no obligation to provide alternative childcare to you. However, every effort is made to provide alternative days to cover the loss of FEEE hours due to the closures. If the closure exceeds three consecutive days in duration (excluding any days when we would otherwise have been closed), we will credit you with an amount that represents the number of days closed in excess of three days.
If you have any concerns regarding the services we provide, please discuss them with your child’s key person. If these concerns are not resolved to your satisfaction, please contact the manager. Customer satisfaction is paramount and any concerns/complaints will be dealt with in line with our making a Complaint Policy.
From time to time, we will take photographs and video recordings of the children who attend. These photographs are used for on-going recording of our curriculum and for children’s individual development records. They are stored on our computer whilst your child is with us. The photographs are used for display and for your child’s records within the setting. If we wished to use any image of your child for training, publicity or marketing purposes, we would always seek your written consent for each image we intend to use, as indicated on our Registration Form.
We reserve the right to refuse to admit your child if they have a temperature, sickness and diarrhoea or a contagious infection or disease on arrival at our setting, or to ask you to collect your child if they become unwell whilst in our care, in line with our Managing Children who are Sick, Infectious or with Allergies Policy.
Fees
Registration (Day Care & NEG plus additional care Only) A registration fee of £100.00 (Non-refundable) and one month’s fee in advance is required upon place acceptance.
Siblings Discount A 5% discount on the monthly invoice will be given if you have more than 1 paying child attending the setting. The discount will be applied on the second child’s invoice; please note the registration fee of £100.00 (non-refundable) is still applicable. This discount does not apply to ad hoc hours, Ad hoc hours will be charged as outlined below. Meals will also be charged at the standard rate as outlined below.
Deposit Neg (Universal and Extended entitlement only) A Deposit of £50.00 (refundable) is required upon place acceptance, which will be refunded after week 8 of your child’s attendance to the setting. If you decide not to attend the setting for whatever reason the deposit will not be refunded.
Day Care We cater for flexible hours to suit your needs charged at £8.50 per the hour.
Half Day (morning) 8:00 -1:00 £35.00

Full Day 8:00 -6:00 £55.00
Meals are included in the day care sessions and will be charged as follows:

Ad hoc Hours We cater for emergency and ad hoc hours at £10.00 per hour
NEG FEEE Lunch time supervision charge £5.00
Our fees are based as stated above. We may review these fees at any time, and shall make every effort to inform you of the revised amount. If you do not wish to pay the revised fee, you may end this agreement by giving us one month notice, by completing our notification of leave date form which can be obtained from the nursery office. These fees are due one month in advance from the first day of your child’s attendance.
Fees must be paid on a monthly basis, in advance. We calculate the amount payable by you each month by calculating your agreed timings and required days multiplied by the number of weeks in the month
All payments made under this agreement will be invoiced on or around the 15th day of each month to be paid by the 25th of the month being advance of the next month. Under exceptional circumstances we may agree to
payment by standing order.
Please note: the free FEEE places cannot be included in the session rate, any additional hours after the 15 hours a week entitlement will be charged at the hourly rate of £8.50, plus the cost of Meals. A session rate may apply only if a full session is taken as additional care, FEEE sessions can only be taken over a period of 3 or 5 days. (a registration fee will be charged when taking day care alongside FEEE places)
If you have requested ad hoc hours and we have as a result provided you with additional childcare facilities, we will charge you for the additional childcare at the rate of £10.00 per hour.
Late collection / Early drop off charges: You have been unable to collect your child by the official collection time or if your child is dropped off earlier than the agreed times. We reserve the right to charge a late fee of £20.00 for the first 15 mins, and £5.00 for every five minutes thereafter; early or late will be applied.
If you fail to make payments in full by the due date or have cancelled the standing order without notification a late payment charge of £20 will be applied. The nursery reserves the right to terminate this agreement and your child will be withdrawn from the nursery with immediate effect. All necessary action will be taken to recover the fees, and any additional cost of recovery will be added to your invoice. It is your responsibility to obtain a receipt as proof of payment.
No refund will be given for periods where the place is unfulfilled due to illness or holidays. We are closed on bank holidays and for training days to support our continuing professional development for the benefit of children and families. We accept no liability for other costs which you incur if we are unable to provide childcare for any reason.
3 & 4 Year Olds Only those children who are 3 and 4 years old are eligible for the Nursery Education Grant. Kindly Note: if your child is attending another playgroup/nursery/setting at the time of registering with Little Mu’mins please notify us

From the age of 5, depending on your child’s date of birth, a fee is applied at the normal rate depending on your requirements.
2 Year Olds NEG Eligible 2 year olds can access up to 570 hours per year (up to 15 hours per week) of FEEE. Refer to http://families.leicester.gov.uk/free-early-education/2-years-old/ for details about the eligibility criteria and the application process.
3&4Year Olds NEG All 3 and 4 year olds have a Universal Entitlement (UE) to access up to 570 hours per year (up to 15 hours per week) of FEEE. Some 3 and 4 year olds may have an Extended Entitlement (EE) to access up to 1,140 hours per year (up to 30 hours per week) of FEEE. If you require assistance in completing the form do not hesitate to contact the office, the manager will be happy to assist
Kindly Note: we recommend that you do not register or attend your child at any other playgroup/nursery/setting at the time of registering with Little Mu’mins Day Care Ltd since this may affect the allocation of the Nursery Education
Grant (FEEE) to which your child may become entitled. You are also required to notify us in the event of any absence as this may also affect your entitlement of the grant. In the unlikely event, termination of your child’s place may result and action will be taken to recover loss of income.
If you have decided to change setting part way through the year as a result you may have used part of the terms FEEE entitlement, due to different opening times of each provider, you may/will be required to pay the additional hours above the FEEE entitlement taken with us. If and when we are notified by the LCC that you have used your entitlement in the previous term.
Change of Session
Parents who wish to Change the timings or days of their child’s care, one clear calendar months’ notice in writing is required to process the request in order to avoid any inconvenience at either end. Please note: all reasonable effort will be made to cater for your needs as soon as possible.
Termination of Place
2, 3 & 4 Year Olds FEEE Funded Care Parents who wish to terminate their child’s place from the nursery, one clear Half Terms notice in writing or one half terms fee in lieu of such notice to the office is required. If insufficient notice is given you will be responsible for the full fees for your child. If you are ending this Agreement, notice must be given by completing our Notification of Leaving Date form which is available on request from the nursery office.

Please Note: in the event of failure to pay fees, the nursery reserves the right to take any action necessary in order to recover the fees. All additional expenses will be added to your bill.
In the event that you require, a replacement or copy of your invoice a fee will be charged at a rate of £2.00.
We operate on OPEN ACCESS POLICY where parents are invited to visit the setting at any time during nursery operating hours. However, due to security reasons we do request that parents inform the office of their intentions to visit beforehand.
*The nursery reserves the right to change the Terms & Conditions at any time at its own discretion. Attempts will be made to give reasonable notification of any changes.
Acceptance of a place will be deemed as acceptance by you of these terms and conditions.
